It’s apparent that it’s supposed to be funny, but at no point do I laugh. It’s akin to watching an episode of The Office. After the full launch, Hibernian Workshop plans to support the game with DLC. These will focus on new worlds to explore, additional enemies, extra playable characters for a total roster of five, 12 Zodiacs to fight, and much more. Check out this gif which shows the game in motion, it looks great, right? The studio plans to keep working on the game until next year, with major updates scheduled for the coming months. The Early Access version of the game includes two playable characters (Ayla, the assassin, and Kiran, the fighter), as well as having five bosses to fight (all named after Zodiac signs). Developer by indie studio Hibernian Workshop, I have to say I’ve been watching trailers of this one for a while and it looks great. Also, Astral Ascent has been released into Early Access on Steam today (April 14th), and you can buy it right now.

Wait for release and maybe it'll be in a more interesting state, though I doubt it.Astral Ascent Free Download Unfitgirl If you’ve clicked this news story, you probably saw the art in the image of Astral Ascent and thought “cor, that looks bloody tasty”. If you're looking for a few hours of fun that quickly becomes repetitive, download a pirated copy or something, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. By the way the game mentions it had Kickstarter backing as well, so coming out in early access instead of a full release felt really scummy to say the least. It's got good looks, but doesn't bring much new to the table and I don't see it's honestly mediocre general design improving by the end of its Early Access cycle. The game's flow, despite being good, is very much stained by this.Ĭombat is real fun, but the upgrades you have available and just the overall layout of this game as a roguelike is fairly disappointing. Plenty of stutters and more effect-heavy parts of combat bring the FPS to a screeching halt.

Performance is trash, a lot of frame drops and I'm sure it's a Construct 3 issue and not something on my end, since I have a 1080ti and the game is clearly very much not graphically intensive. When you reach the 3rd biome (out of 4), a boss comes out at the start, killing you and ending your run. Took me literally less than 2 hours to reach the end of the Early Access content. Downloaded a pirated copy to check it out.
